Changing the color of car fog lights is illegal and may result in penalties from traffic police, as well as failure to pass the annual inspection. Permitted modifications include: Adding a roof rack, installing running boards for a Jeep, or fitting anti-collision devices at the front and rear of small vehicles—as long as these additions are not overly prominent, do not exceed the original length and width of the vehicle, and do not affect the vehicle's safety performance—are not considered modifications. Illegal modifications: Changing the car emblem, adding lighting devices, installing xenon lights, or any alterations that change the fundamental characteristics of the original vehicle are illegal. For example, replacing a domestic car emblem with a "Mercedes" logo for fun, or adding original Toyota emblems, which alter the vehicle's identifying features, are considered illegal modifications.
