Placing perfume in a car can be dangerous because prolonged exposure to sunlight or high temperatures inside the vehicle may cause the perfume to explode. Perfume contains alcohol and other soluble mixtures. Alcohol has volatile properties and is also flammable. During summer, temperatures can rise above 30°C (86°F), and some perfume bottles may have a lens-like design that intensifies sunlight concentration, accelerating alcohol evaporation. When alcohol evaporates, it turns into gas, increasing in volume. However, since the perfume bottle's volume remains unchanged, the gas pressure inside the bottle rises. If the bottle's venting holes are insufficient to release the built-up pressure, the perfume bottle may explode. To prevent such explosions, slightly loosening the perfume bottle cap can help relieve pressure from expanding alcohol vapor. Additionally, some bottles feature a convex lens design that can focus sunlight and raise temperatures, potentially igniting the alcohol. It is advisable to avoid purchasing bottles with this design.

Honestly, while researching safety issues, I found that placing perfume in a car can indeed be quite dangerous. Primarily because perfumes often contain high concentrations of alcohol and flammable solvents, such as ethanol. In summer, the temperature inside a car can soar above 50 degrees Celsius, significantly increasing the risk of spontaneous combustion or explosion. I've heard numerous real-life cases where small bottles cracked under direct sunlight, triggering small fires. Additionally, in a confined car space, perfumes can release harmful chemicals like benzene or formaldehyde, potentially causing dizziness, nausea, or even long-term respiratory issues. Considering these risks, I believe opting for solid air fresheners or regular window ventilation is a much safer choice. After all, the small interior space makes health and safety far more important than temporary fragrance. Personally, switching to natural alternatives has given me much greater peace of mind.

How to Install ETC on the Car Windshield?

ETC installation process is as follows: Upon receiving the device, first check if the ETC card and electronic tag (OBU) are damaged. Press the anti-tamper button on the back of the OBU. The red light will briefly illuminate, and the OLED screen will display "Tag Invalid" and "Please Insert Card," indicating the device is functioning properly. Clean the front windshield, ensuring the glass surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Then peel off the adhesive backing of the OBU and stick it to the installation position. Press firmly for 2-3 minutes to remove any air bubbles. Insert the ETC card with the front side facing the driver and the back side facing the windshield. The chip should be inserted into the OBU device. ETC Usage Notes: The ETC transaction sensing range is 8 meters. When encountering a stationary vehicle ahead, maintain a distance of more than 10 meters to prevent automatic payment for the vehicle in front in case its ETC device is faulty or nonexistent. The ETC lane recognition speed is 20 km/h. Driving too fast may result in failure to read the vehicle's device information and unsuccessful fee deduction. Unauthorized removal or movement of the OBU device, or if the ETC electronic tag falls off or becomes loose, will render the tag invalid. You can take it to the bank where the ETC card was issued or a highway service center for inspection. If the issue is not due to human error, reactivation may be sufficient. When using a debit card linked to ETC, insufficient balance may cause fee deduction failure. Follow the instructions of on-site staff to proceed to a manual MTC lane and pay with cash or card. A windshield that is too thick may cause poor signal reception. This is especially important for vehicles that have had their windshields replaced after accidents or for those with modified front windshields.

How to Determine if a Turbocharger is Good or Bad?

Accelerate rapidly to above 1750 RPM. If you can hear the exhaust valve scream, the turbocharger is functioning normally. According to the car's odometer, if there are abnormal noises inside, the turbo may be damaged. Use a pressure gauge to measure. The normal intake pressure should be 0.2-0.3 MPa. If the reading is outside this range, the turbo may be damaged.
