Is it better to use ETC or manual lanes during free highway periods?

During free highway periods, users who choose to enter via ETC lanes and exit via ETC lanes will not be charged; entering via manual lanes and exiting via manual lanes will also not incur charges. However, entering via manual lanes and exiting via ETC lanes will not work as there is no entry information, and the exit barrier will not lift. Entering via ETC lanes and exiting via manual lanes is allowed and will not incur charges. Precautions for using ETC: The ETC transaction sensing range is 8 meters. To prevent issues where the vehicle in front has a faulty ETC device or no ETC device at all, maintain a distance of more than 10 meters from the vehicle ahead to avoid automatic sensing and paying for the vehicle in front. The speed limit for ETC lane recognition is 20 km/h. Driving too fast will prevent the system from reading the vehicle's device information, leading to failed charges. Unauthorized removal or movement of the OBU device, or if the ETC electronic tag falls off or becomes loose, will render the electronic tag invalid. In such cases, the device can be taken to the bank where the ETC card was issued or to a highway service office for inspection. If the loosening or detachment is not due to human error, reactivation is sufficient.
