It is allowed to hang a national flag on a car. Regulation 1: Hanging a national flag on a car is permitted, but it must be a standard and compliant flag, and it should not interfere with the normal driving of oneself or others. Article 13, Paragraph 3 of the Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law stipulates that the spraying or affixing of logos or advertisements on motor vehicles must not affect safe driving. Therefore, when hanging a national flag or affixing a flag-style sticker on a private car, owners must choose a standard and compliant flag and ensure it does not interfere with normal driving. Regulation 2: Articles 17 and 19 of the National Flag Law clearly state that damaged, soiled, faded, or non-compliant flags must not be hoisted; the national flag and its design must not be used as trademarks or advertisements or for private funeral activities. Publicly and intentionally insulting the national flag of the People's Republic of China by burning, damaging, defacing, soiling, or trampling it is subject to criminal liability; for less severe cases, penalties under the Public Security Administration Punishment Law apply, with public security authorities imposing detention of up to 15 days.
