Driving without temporary license plates is not allowed. Below is the detailed process for obtaining temporary license plates for a new vehicle: 1. First, you need to pay the vehicle purchase tax, purchase insurance for the new vehicle, and undergo a criminal investigation inspection. 2. Then, for non-exempt vehicles, they must pass an inspection line, pay fees, fill out forms, engrave and photograph the vehicle number, and collect the necessary documents for license plate registration. 3. You need to submit the documents at the vehicle management office, where the owner signs, and a police officer conducts an external inspection and confirmation of the vehicle. 4. Finally, select a license plate number and receive a receipt, have the license plate securely fixed, install the plates, and collect the vehicle registration certificate and license. 5. The temporary movement permit is generally valid for 3 days, while temporary license plates are usually valid for 30 days. The maximum period from purchasing a new vehicle to officially registering it is generally 3 months. If this period is exceeded, a certain late fee must be paid as per regulations. The timing of registration after purchasing a vehicle is entirely up to the owner's discretion.

I just bought a new car and was so excited to take it for a spin that I forgot to display the temporary license plate, and was immediately pulled over and fined by the police. What a big lesson! Temporary license plates are a must for new cars or during license plate transfers. It's usually a paper document obtained from the DMV or the dealer, to be affixed on the front and rear windshields of the car. Driving without it is equivalent to driving without a license plate, which is absolutely illegal. I've heard that in most places, this can lead to big trouble: getting a ticket, points deducted, or even having the car towed. Worse still, if your car is involved in an accident, the insurance company might refuse to cover the claim on the grounds of no license plate. Insurance is mandatory, and driving without a license plate is like adding fuel to the fire. My advice is, as soon as you get your new car, make sure the temporary license plate is properly displayed, and don’t be as foolish as I was.

Why is the Peugeot 2008's fuel consumption so high?

Reasons for the high fuel consumption of the Peugeot 2008: 1. Driving habits: Rapid acceleration and sudden braking in urban driving and speeding can increase fuel consumption by 5% to 30%. Prolonged idling also raises fuel consumption because the vehicle consumes energy as long as it is running. Maintaining a steady speed as much as possible can effectively reduce fuel consumption. 2. External environment: Road conditions and weather temperature can affect fuel consumption. Generally, smooth roads are more fuel-efficient than bumpy ones, straight roads are better than winding ones, and clear roads are more efficient than congested ones. In hot summer weather, air conditioning cooling consumes additional fuel. In winter, low temperatures prevent gasoline from reaching the optimal combustion temperature, leading to incomplete combustion and increased fuel consumption. 3. Vehicle maintenance: Car maintenance includes checking tire pressure and cleaning carbon deposits. Regularly inspect and adjust tire pressure. Low tire pressure increases the contact area between the tires and the road, raising driving resistance and fuel consumption. Additionally, dirt and grease on the engine surface can hinder heat dissipation, leading to higher fuel consumption. Proper vehicle maintenance is a crucial method for reducing fuel consumption. Regular inspections and maintenance not only lower fuel consumption but also extend the vehicle's lifespan and prevent unexpected issues.
