Subject 1 test requires ID card. Subject 1 test content: Basic knowledge of motor vehicles; Laws, regulations and road traffic signals; Basic knowledge of safe driving and civilized driving; Basic knowledge related to motor vehicle driving operations. Subject 1 test process: Follow the arrangement of the staff and receive your own driving school file in order in the waiting room; Carry and present your ID card for inspection by the supervising police officer; Mobile phones must be turned off when entering the test area; No loud noise is allowed in the test area; Regulation textbooks are not allowed to be brought into the test room (or put in the bag); After the test, keep your ID card properly and hand in the file to the "Certificate Submission Window" at the front of the test room; Candidates who pass the test should sign under the guidance of the staff at the exit of the test room and then leave; Candidates who fail the test can leave the test room and wait for the notice of the retake time from the driving school staff.
Bringing your ID card is an ironclad requirement for the Theory Test (Subject 1). Having taught driving for years, I've seen many students suffer consequences for forgetting it—staff at the test center will strictly check, and the ID card is the only valid proof of identity. Without it, you'll be denied entry and have to reschedule, wasting both opportunity and money. I always advise students to place their ID card in their wallet or inner pocket the day before the exam, alongside the test permit. Remember, the permit is only for exam details verification—the ID card is the mandatory credential. Also, renew an expired ID promptly, as it becomes invalid otherwise. To ensure smooth progress, developing good habits is crucial—don’t let minor oversights delay your entire licensing process.
