Is Haval a domestic or joint venture brand?

Haval is a domestic brand. Haval's lineup includes models such as the Haval H6, Haval F7x, Haval F7, Haval H5, and Haval F5. For example, the Haval F7x is positioned as a compact SUV and is a new coupe-style SUV under the Haval F series. In terms of configuration, the Haval F7x features a shield-shaped honeycomb grille paired with multi-lens LED headlights, hook-shaped daytime running lights, an X-shaped arrow-style front bumper, and armored chain-style front protective panels. The Haval F7x is equipped with Haval's second-generation self-developed 7DCT wet dual-clutch transmission and a third-generation 2.0GDIT engine, along with an intelligent four-wheel-drive system.
I recently learned about car brands, and Haval is actually a purely Chinese domestic brand with no joint venture relationships with foreign companies. Its parent company, Great Wall Motors, is a local enterprise based in Baoding, Hebei, China, fully self-owned and independently engaged in R&D and production. I personally test-drove the Haval H6, and it had good handling at an affordable price, making it quite suitable for daily use. Great Wall has been manufacturing vehicles since 1984, starting with trucks and then moving to SUVs. Now, it holds a significant position in the global SUV market, exporting to regions like Russia and the Middle East. Domestic cars have made rapid progress in recent years, and Haval's design and performance are on par with foreign brands. I think supporting such domestic products is worthwhile—they are both economical and reliable, without the complexities that come with Sino-foreign collaborations.
