Is frequent oil change beneficial to the engine?

Frequent oil changes are beneficial to the engine, as new oil undoubtedly performs better than used oil, naturally providing more benefits to the engine. Oil operates in a high-temperature and high-pressure environment for extended periods, undergoing chemical reactions that leave small amounts of chemical residues in the oil. This reduces the oil's heat dissipation and lubrication capabilities, leading to accelerated engine wear. Engine oil, or lubricating oil, serves multiple functions including lubrication and wear reduction, auxiliary cooling, sealing and leak prevention, rust and corrosion protection, as well as shock absorption. It consists of two main components: base oil and additives. The base oil is the primary component of lubricating oil, determining its fundamental properties, while additives compensate for and enhance any deficiencies in the base oil's performance.
