Is ETC Device Replacement Free of Charge?
1 Answers
Major banks offer free ETC installation. Previously, ETC devices required a cost fee (but currently most banks provide ETC devices for free). Non-artificial damages will be replaced free of charge by the issuer. The ETC device has a 2-year warranty. If there are quality issues with the device, you can bring your valid ID card, vehicle license, and the original OBU device to the bank's ETC service outlet for a free replacement. If the ETC device is broken and needs to be reissued, the following documents are required at the ETC service outlet: 1. For company vehicles: Provide a copy or color photo of the company's business license, a power of attorney with the company's official seal, the agent's ID card, and the vehicle license. 2. For personal applications: Offline applications only require the vehicle owner's ID card. If the owner's ID card cannot be provided, a non-owner version of ETC needs to be applied for.
