Is Driving in Sandals a Traffic Violation?
1 Answers
Driving in sandals is not a traffic violation. The following types of footwear are unsuitable for driving: 1. High heels: They may cause difficulty in pressing or releasing the brake and accelerator pedals. 2. Mid or high-top leather boots: Due to their tight fit around the legs, they can restrict joint movement and are highly unsuitable for driving. 3. Flip-flops: Whether made of hard or soft materials, the main issue is that they do not securely fasten to the feet. Hard flip-flops may allow some force application, but in emergencies, the foot can slip out, leading to ineffective pedal control. Soft flip-flops can easily bend at a 90-degree angle when braking, getting stuck between the brake pedal and the car floor.
