Borgward is a domestic brand, and its models include: Borgward BX7, Borgward BX7T, Borgward BX5, Borgward BX6, Borgward BXi7, etc. Taking the 2020 Borgward BX5 as an example, its body dimensions are: 4490mm in length, 1877mm in width, and 1675mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2685mm, a minimum ground clearance of 186mm, a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters, and a body weight of 1525kg. The 2020 Borgward BX5 features a MacPherson independent front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension. It is equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 150PS, a maximum power of 110kW, and a maximum torque of 250Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Borgward brand is quite interesting. It was originally an old German brand that was quite popular in Europe during the mid-20th century. However, in 2014, China's Beiqi Foton acquired the entire brand, including both the trademark and technology. Later, Shenzhou Ucar took over, and now production and R&D are all conducted in China. I've interacted with people from Borgward's factory—their production lines are all in Miyun, Beijing, and the workers are all domestic. So now this car should be considered domestically produced. But since it still carries a German name, some people think it's an imported car, which is actually completely different.
