Is a Snow Tire Pressure of 2.8 Appropriate?

In winter, a tire pressure of 2.8 bar is considered too high. Generally, manufacturers recommend a cold tire pressure between 2.1-2.5 bar. Due to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, tire pressure tends to decrease in winter. It is advisable to refer to the vehicle's tire pressure label, which can be found near the driver's side door, on the fuel tank cap, or in the user manual. Normal winter tire pressure range: Winter tire pressure should be based on the standard tire pressure of the vehicle, with an appropriate increase of about 0.2 bar. According to the international GBT2978-2008 standard, the recommended tire pressures for different tires are as follows: Standard tires: 2.4-2.5 bar; Reinforced tires: 2.8-2.9 bar; Maximum pressure: should not exceed 3.5 bar.
