Yes. Private cars that have been in use for 6 years will be subject to biennial inspections. Vehicles that have already passed the annual inspection need to undergo the inspection before the expiration date. The new regulations include 7 to 9-seater non-operational mini and micro passenger vehicles (excluding vans) within the 6-year exemption range. For non-operational mini and micro passenger vehicles (excluding vans) that have been in use for more than 6 years but less than 10 years, the inspection frequency is adjusted from once a year to once every two years. Below is relevant information about vehicle inspection: 1. Article 49 of the "Motor Vehicle Registration Regulations" states that the owner of a motor vehicle may apply for an inspection compliance mark at the vehicle management office of the registration location within three months before the expiration of the motor vehicle inspection validity period. 2. Before applying, the owner must resolve all traffic violations and accidents related to the vehicle. When applying, the owner must fill out an application form and submit the vehicle license, compulsory traffic accident liability insurance certificate, vehicle and vessel tax payment or exemption certificate, and motor vehicle safety technical inspection compliance certificate. The vehicle management office shall, within one day from the date of acceptance, confirm the motor vehicle, review the submitted certificates and documents, and issue the inspection compliance mark.
