A driver's physical examination is the same as a driver's license physical examination. Driver's license physical examination items: Height, vision, color discrimination, hearing, upper limbs, lower limbs, torso, and neck. Examination location: Grade 2A or above hospitals have specialized departments for driving physical examinations. Bring the driving school's specific physical examination form for the check-up. Specific requirements: Height must be at least 150 centimeters; for applying for large passenger vehicles, tractors, large trucks, city buses, or trolleybuses, height must be at least 155 centimeters. Naked or corrected vision in both eyes must reach at least 4.9 on the logarithmic visual acuity chart. No red-green color blindness. Both ears must be able to distinguish the direction of sound sources at a distance of 50 centimeters from a tuning fork. Both thumbs must be intact, and each hand must have at least three intact fingers with normal limb and finger movement functions; if the distal phalanx is missing or the right thumb is missing, one can apply for a driver's license for small cars or small automatic transmission cars. Both lower limbs must be intact with normal movement functions; the length difference between the lower limbs must not exceed 5 centimeters. For applying for an automatic transmission car, the right limb must be intact. There must be no movement dysfunction in the torso or neck.
I've been driving for many years, and the driver's physical examination actually refers to the medical checkup for obtaining a driver's license. Every time I renew my license, I have to go to the hospital to check if my vision meets the standard, whether I can distinguish colors, and if my hearing and reaction abilities are normal. This is mainly to ensure that I won't cause accidents due to physical problems while driving. I remember during my last license renewal, the doctor also checked my blood pressure to prevent fatigue driving. The whole process is quite fast, and you can just register at the designated hospital to get it done. If you don't pass, you'll have to undergo treatment and come back for another check. I think this system is necessary because driving safety comes first. Some beginners might not be clear and think the driver's physical examination is something else, but essentially it's the driver's license medical check, and it's a mandatory step when applying for a driver's license.
