New energy vehicles refer to those that utilize fuel sources other than gasoline or diesel for power. They are categorized into: 1) Hybrid electric vehicles, which use both conventional and unconventional fuel sources; 2) Pure electric vehicles, which rely entirely on electric motors for power; and 3) Fuel cell electric vehicles, which use hydrogen fuel as their power source.
