Is a 1.5L engine sufficient for highway driving?

1.5L engine is not sufficient for highway driving. Most family sedans on the market have engine displacements ranging from 1.4L to 1.8L, and even turbocharged models are mostly between 1.4T and 1.5T. Moreover, most models equipped with a 1.5L engine can provide over 110 horsepower, which is sufficient for most family cars driving in urban areas. Most 1.5L engines use fuel injection systems, which may feel underpowered for drivers who frequently drive on highways. A 1.5L engine provides relatively light power during initial acceleration without a particularly strong sense of impact, making the entire acceleration process smoother. However, it may struggle during later stages of acceleration.
