BMW's driving assistance systems are divided into six categories: Cruise Control System, Active Cruise Control System, Collision Prevention System, Driving Safety Assist System, Enhanced Driving Assistance Function, and Driving Assistant Professional (autonomous driving assistance system). Composition of BMW's Driving Assistance System: A BMW vehicle equipped with the Driving Assistant Professional system includes a total of 25 sensors, cameras, and radars. Among these are 8 cameras: front and rear parking cameras, two surround-view cameras on the exterior mirrors, a triple-camera unit (KAFASHigh) located at the upper center of the windshield, and a driver attention monitoring camera (DCS) on the instrument panel. Usage of BMW's Driving Assistance System: To activate the Driving Assistant Professional system, the method is quite simple—just press the corresponding button on the left side of the steering wheel. By default, the system will enter ACC adaptive cruise control mode after activation. Using the mode switch button on the right side, you can choose between ACC adaptive cruise control only or a combination of ACC and lane-keeping assist functions.
