In which year did the Liana use imported engines?

Since 2008, the Liana has been using imported engines. The model of the imported engine is the M16A series. The reason for the Liana's use of imported engines is due to the differences in the Chinese market and usage environment. Using imported engines allows for a more perfect combination of the car's power and economy, thereby further expanding the market. The advantage of this series of imported engines is the VVT variable valve timing technology, which increases the power of the series from the original 70KW to the current 80KW, and the torque from the original 135N·m/rpm to the current 144N·m/rpm. Under these conditions, the fuel consumption of the new VVT Liana is further reduced, with the manual transmission's 60 km/h constant speed fuel economy being only 4.45L per 100 km. The environmental emissions have also been upgraded to the National IV standard, and the 0-100 km acceleration performance has been further improved.
