How to Wrap a Steering Wheel Cover?

First, place the cover at the 6 o'clock position, then use your legs to brace the steering wheel while using both hands to position the cover at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions. Ensure the cover is properly aligned on both sides after positioning. Use masking tape to wrap around the steering wheel cover for external positioning, removing the tape as you sew. Thread the needle and start sewing from the bottom. After making the first stitch, don’t rush to continue sewing. First, tuck the edges by using a trim tool to push the leather into the gaps. Once everything is aligned, proceed with sewing. It’s recommended to maintain moderate tension during sewing. Initially, you don’t need to pull the thread too tight. After sewing a section, use the needle to adjust and tighten the thread before continuing.
I've been driving for decades and I'm quite familiar with steering wheel wraps. First, you need to choose a suitable wrap, preferably one with anti-slip material to prevent slipping while driving. Before starting, thoroughly clean the steering wheel to ensure there's no grease. Then find a starting point, usually at the top of the steering wheel, and slowly wrap it around with both hands, applying even pressure – not too tight or too loose, as this could damage the steering wheel or make it uncomfortable to use. While wrapping, keep the wrap straight to avoid wrinkles, secure the seams with adhesive, and trim any excess. Make sure to check that it's firmly in place, and even when your hands sweat during long drives, it shouldn't affect your grip. I recommend checking it every six months and replacing it if it's heavily worn, as this improves both driving safety and cost-effectiveness. In short, take your time and don't rush. Beginners can practice with video tutorials.
