First, press the power button on the car's display. After turning it on, swipe the screen to the right. Locate the "Driving Record" option icon among the choices. Upon clicking it, you will see multiple dashcam videos. Select any video to view it. If you need to view other videos, simply click the up or down buttons to browse through them.

The Hongqi H5 dashcam can primarily be viewed through the central control screen, a mobile app, or by directly reading the storage card. The easiest way to view it in the car is to start the vehicle and locate the 'Dashcam' or 'Apps' icon on the central control screen. Tapping it will display the live feed and playback function, allowing you to search for video clips by date and time, and even download them directly to a USB drive. If you prefer not to operate it in the car, you can connect your phone to the dashcam's WiFi. Open Hongqi's own app or the dedicated software of the dashcam brand (the name is in the manual), connect to the device's built-in WiFi hotspot—the default password is usually a simple number sequence like 12345678—and once connected, your phone can directly access, playback, or download videos. When the storage card is full, it will automatically overwrite old files, so remember to back up emergency videos promptly.

I helped a friend with this issue last time. Essentially, there are three main methods: The easiest way is to view directly on the car's infotainment system—just find the dashcam app on the central control screen. The touch controls are similar to a smartphone, and you can even set the loop recording duration. Remote control via smartphone is ideal when you're away from the vehicle. Just make sure your phone is connected to the dashcam's Wi-Fi signal (usually named with 'DVR' in it), and using the official app to download footage is much more convenient than removing the memory card. Physical backup is also straightforward—locate the TF card slot near the rearview mirror on the windshield, remove the card, and use a card reader to copy accident clips to a computer. Note that for some Hongqi models, the vehicle must be powered on to access the dashcam data.

To check the Hongqi H5 dashcam footage, follow these three steps. First, the in-car system: After ignition, enter the 'App Center' from the central control screen to find the dashcam module for direct playback. Second, mobile phone connectivity: Download the 'Hongqi Zhilian' App on your phone, enable the dashcam's WiFi in the car (the name and password are on the first page of the manual), and connect to view in real time. Lastly, remove the card for computer transfer: The card slot is hidden on the side of the rearview mirror base; use a pin to remove the card. Emergency videos are stored separately to avoid overwriting. Important note: Videos saved automatically after a collision should be exported as soon as possible!
