How to Use Tire Repair Sealant?

Usage method of tire repair sealant: 1. Remove puncturing objects from the tire; 2. Position the valve at the 4 o'clock or 8 o'clock position and remove the valve core; 3. Take off the cap of the sealant bottle, insert the bottle nozzle into the tire valve, and squeeze the bottle to inject the sealant into the tire; 4. Reinstall the valve core and inflate the tire to the specified pressure; 5. Drive slowly for about 10 kilometers to evenly distribute the sealant on the inner wall of the tire; 6. For safety, drive to a safe area and check the tire pressure, inflate to normal pressure if insufficient; 7. If nails are found during subsequent driving, pull them out, but some air may escape—quickly rotate the tire to allow the sealant inside to seal the hole.
I've personally used tire sealant several times, with one particularly memorable experience on a mountain road when my tire was punctured by a small nail and there were no repair shops around. I pulled over, engaged the parking brake to ensure the car was secure, then took out the can of tire sealant I had pre-purchased – a reputable brand still within its shelf life. After shaking the can a few times to mix the liquid evenly, I connected it firmly to the tire's valve stem and pressed steadily to inject the sealant while slightly inflating the tire. After injection, I drove slowly for a few kilometers to allow the small puncture to seal – the entire emergency fix took less than ten minutes. However, I must emphasize this is only a temporary solution and shouldn't be relied upon long-term. You must visit a professional shop for thorough inspection afterwards, as residual sealant could corrode the wheel rim or affect balance. Never attempt this method with sidewall punctures or large tears due to blowout risks – choosing the right product is absolutely critical.
