Haval H6 wiper usage: The control lever is located on the right side of the steering wheel. By moving it up/down and forward/backward, you can operate the wipers to adjust their positions, frequency, and other functions. OFF means the front wipers are in the stopped state; INT is for automatic intermittent operation, which requires manual resetting and is suitable for light rain or snow; MIST is for a single wipe action; AUTO is for automatic wiper operation; LOW is for low-speed wiper operation. The Haval H6 is a flagship model under the Haval brand, featuring a powerful exterior presence with Eastern-style futuristic aesthetic design language. Its exterior lines fully showcase dynamic strength, while the interior adopts a super-sensing futuristic smart cockpit design.

I've been driving a Haval H6 for almost three years and have become quite skilled with the wipers. The control stalk on the right side of the steering wheel operates the wipers: push it up once for a single wipe, perfect for sudden water droplets; pull it down to the first position for intermittent wiping, which is great for light rain; the second position down is slow continuous wiping; and the lowest position is for fast wiping during heavy rain. You can also rotate the top of the stalk to adjust the intermittent timing. To spray washer fluid, pull the stalk all the way toward you—it will spray and automatically wipe three times. Remember not to operate the wipers on a dry windshield, as this can damage the rubber blades. In summer, if the sun is too strong, it's best to lift the wipers up to prevent the rubber from aging and sticking to the glass.

When I first got my Haval H6, I couldn't figure out how to use the wipers either. It wasn't until I studied the manual that I discovered the tricks. The right-hand stalk has four positions: the topmost MIST position for a single swipe, INT for intermittent operation at set intervals, and LO and HI for normal and fast speeds respectively. Rotating the end of the stalk adjusts the interval for INT mode. Using the washer fluid is super easy - just pull the stalk toward you. I've found that INT mode is most practical for light rain, and you can fine-tune the frequency by rotating the control. It's best to inspect the wiper blades every six months - if they streak or make noise, they need replacing. Last time I changed just the rubber inserts, which cost me only about thirty yuan.

The operation of the Haval H6 wipers is quite intuitive. The lever on the right side of the steering wheel has three downward positions for slow, medium, and fast wiping speeds, while pushing it up performs a single wipe. To spray washer fluid, pull the lever toward yourself. Special attention is needed in winter: remember to lift the wipers before snowfall to prevent them from freezing to the glass. When using the heater to defrost the windshield, avoid immediately activating the wipers, as the temperature difference can damage the rubber blades. Normally, try to turn off the wipers when parking to save the battery. If there’s bird droppings or tree sap on the glass, spray washer fluid first to soften it before wiping—scraping hard can scratch the glass and wear out the wiper blades.

During the rainy season, I pay the most attention to the wiper performance when driving my Haval H6. Gently pushing the control lever downward activates the intermittent mode, and rotating the top adjusts the wiping frequency from 1 to 15 seconds. For moderate rain, use the LO setting, and switch to HI during heavy downpours for immediate clear visibility. If the windshield fogs up, don’t rush to use the wipers—turning on the air conditioning for defogging is more effective. For cars parked long-term, avoid using the wipers immediately after exposure to intense sunlight, as the high temperature softens the rubber blades, making them prone to deformation. If the windshield has an oily film, the wipers won’t clean effectively—I use professional glass cleaner once a month. If the wipers make unusual noises when reaching the edges of the glass, it’s a sign that the rubber blades need replacement.
