How to Use the Windshield Washer?

Here are the precautions for using the car windshield washer: 1. Check the spray position of the nozzle. If the spray position is incorrect, adjust it promptly. The normal spray position should be slightly above the center of the windshield. When the washer fluid flows down, the wiper blades can evenly spread it across the entire windshield, cleaning and removing dirt. Generally, the nozzle position can be adjusted manually. Some models may have screws fixing the nozzle, which can be loosened before adjustment. 2. If the nozzle fails to spray or the spray pattern is abnormal, check whether the nozzle is clogged. The nozzle orifice is very small and can easily be blocked by dirt, mud from car washing, or wax residue after waxing. If the nozzle is clogged, use a thin wire to insert from the front and remove the blockage. If it still doesn’t work, disconnect the inner hose and insert the wire from the inside to clear the obstruction. After driving through particularly muddy roads, check the nozzle to prevent excessive mud buildup, which may harden and affect the spray pattern. 3. After the washer fluid is sprayed onto the windshield, the wipers should operate promptly. Otherwise, check and adjust the synchronization between the washer and the wipers. 4. Regularly check and refill the windshield washer fluid. If the fluid runs out and the driver continues to use the spray switch, the pump will run dry, and the motor may overheat and burn out due to lack of fluid flow. Therefore, always check the washer fluid level and replenish it in time.
