Instructions for using the USB drive in Baojun 530: 1. Store songs in the USB drive; 2. Insert the USB drive into the front USB slot on the center console; 3. Turn on the audio system; 4. Switch to USB mode; 5. The system will automatically import and play the songs. The Baojun 530 is a compact SUV under the Baojun brand, with body dimensions of 4655mm in length, 1835mm in width, and 1760mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2750mm. In terms of exterior design, the front face of the Baojun 530 features a hexagonal grille with dual chrome horizontal bars, and the headlights on both sides adopt a split-type design. The LED daytime running lights have a slender shape and are integrated with the grille using chrome trim.

The USB function of the Baojun 530 is quite practical. The first thing I do when getting in the car is plugging in the USB drive. There's a USB port inside the armrest box—just insert the USB drive directly. Remember to save songs in MP3 format beforehand; avoid formats like FLAC that the car's system might not recognize. After plugging it in, the media list will pop up on the central control screen, and you can start playback by clicking on it. If the drive isn’t recognized, try unplugging and reinserting it—it’s likely a poor connection. Once, my USB drive got stuck because it had too many songs, but I later found that keeping it under 300 songs made it run smoothly. Using the steering wheel buttons to switch songs is the safest while driving—don’t look down to tap the screen. Remember to exit the playback interface before turning off the car, or it might lag the next time you start it.

I've been using my Baojun 530 for two years, and the USB playback function has been consistently stable. Two key points to note: First, the USB drive must be formatted as FAT32, as the car's system can't read NTFS. Second, avoid placing files too deep in folders; it's best to put them directly in the root directory. After plugging into the USB port, it takes about 5 seconds for automatic recognition. You can then select songs by clicking the music icon on the center console. There's a toggle button on the right side of the steering wheel for switching tracks, which is very convenient. Once, it suddenly stopped recognizing the drive, and I found out it was due to overheating. After switching to a metal-cased USB drive, the problem never recurred. For long-term use, I recommend using a mini USB drive to avoid blocking storage space. Most importantly, never plug or unplug the USB drive while driving, as it can easily damage the port.

The Baojun 530 infotainment system has good compatibility with USB drives. I've used three different brands without issues. When inserted into the front USB port, the system automatically scans for audio files. It mainly supports MP3/WMA formats, with bitrates not exceeding 320kbps. If reading is slow, perform disk cleanup on a computer. Creating separate folders for song management is practical, such as Mandarin/Cantonese playlists. The system displays up to 999 songs, with extras hidden but still playable. Steering wheel controls are more convenient than the center console, especially during highway driving. Regular USB formatting helps prevent lag issues.
