To use the Camry electronic parking brake, follow these steps: 1. Press the brake pedal. 2. Pull up and hold the electronic parking brake switch until the indicator light on the dashboard illuminates. 3. The indicator light on the parking brake switch will also illuminate. The electronic parking brake, also known as the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), is marked with a "P" button in the vehicle. It operates on the same principle as the traditional mechanical handbrake, using friction between the brake disc and brake pads to control parking braking. However, the control method has evolved from a mechanical handbrake to an electronic button, making operation more convenient. Currently, there are two types of electronic parking brake switches on the market: one is a standard push-button type, where pressing once activates the electronic parking brake and pressing again deactivates it; the other is a toggle-type button, resembling a window switch, where pulling up activates the parking brake and pressing down deactivates it, similar to the operation of a mechanical handbrake.
