How to Use the Start-Stop Function in Volkswagen Cars?

Usage method of Volkswagen's automatic start-stop function: After each car ignition, as long as the conditions are met—doors are closed and the speed is greater than three kilometers per hour for about four seconds—the engine start-stop function will automatically activate without any operation required from the driver. The automatic engine start-stop system automatically shuts off the engine when the car comes to a temporary stop and restarts it when it's time to move forward again. In automatic transmission cars, the start-stop system is in normal working condition as soon as the car is started. When encountering a red light or stopping for other reasons, pressing the brake for about two seconds will automatically shut off the engine. To start moving again, simply release the brake and press the accelerator or gently turn the steering wheel, and the engine will restart. When parking, shifting to neutral, pulling the handbrake, and releasing the clutch will prompt the system to recognize these three actions and automatically shut off the engine. Pressing the clutch again will restart the engine.
