How to Use the SAIC Volkswagen Jack?
1 Answers
Volkswagen vehicle jacks should be positioned at the stamped marking points on the front and rear of the car's side beams. The usage and precautions for Volkswagen jacks are as follows: 1. The vehicle's accompanying jack should be placed under the metal ribs at the lower part of the vehicle's upper and lower edges, where there are grooves or triangular marks. 2. Incorrect support points may damage the chassis. Generally, the underside of the vehicle body has dedicated support points for the jack. For family cars, these points are located on the inner side of the side skirts, resembling two fins on either side of the chassis, approximately 20 cm behind the front wheels and 20 cm in front of the rear wheels. 3. These two fins protrude from the chassis steel plate and can withstand greater pressure. Placing the jack directly on the chassis steel plate may cause unnecessary damage to the chassis. 4. Supporting the jack on the suspension lower control arm is an incorrect operation. If the jack slips and the vehicle falls, both the chassis and the jack may be damaged.
