Usage method of the S gear in Bin Yue: The S gear button is located on the rear panel of the gear lever. Simply press it to switch to the S gear. Due to its strong power, the S gear is mostly used when overtaking or climbing slopes. After completing the action, it is recommended to switch back to the more economical D gear. Bin Yue is a high-performance smart SUV from Geely, equipped with an autonomous driving system, AEB city pre-collision safety system, LDW lane departure warning system, BSD blind spot monitoring function, and PPS pedestrian recognition and protection system. I've been driving the Bin Yue for quite a while now, and I'm pretty familiar with using the S gear. When you need more power, like climbing steep slopes or overtaking on the highway, simply pull the gear lever from D gear back to the S gear position. At this point, the dashboard will display the S symbol, the RPM will increase, and the engine feels like it's been given a boost—just a light press on the accelerator gives you a noticeable push-back sensation. However, be aware that prolonged use of the S gear significantly increases fuel consumption; it's more economical to switch back to D gear in city traffic jams. Last time I drove on mountain roads using S gear the whole way, climbing was effortless, but the fuel gauge dropped rapidly. So now, I only temporarily switch to S gear when I need to accelerate.
