How to Use the Rearview Mirror Heating Function?
1 Answers
The rearview mirror heating function is used when the rearview mirror is frosted or frozen in winter. Simply turn on the rear window defroster switch, which is usually a button located on the center console. Pressing the button will activate the heating for the exterior rearview mirrors, and it will automatically turn off once a certain temperature is reached. The frost or ice on the mirrors will quickly disappear, providing great convenience for the driver. When driving in foggy, rainy, or snowy conditions, fog accumulation on the mirror surface due to mist, frost in winter, or rainwater can obstruct the driver's view of the side and rear areas. This often requires the driver to frequently reach out of the window to clean the mirror surface, which is not only highly inconvenient but also significantly compromises driving safety. Moreover, this is only a temporary measure, as fog and rainwater can quickly blur the mirrors again.
