How to Use the Octavia Sensor?

The rain sensor is concealed behind the front windshield and adjusts the wiper action based on the amount of rainfall on the glass. To use the Octavia sensor, simply push the right-hand control lever up one notch.
I've been driving the Octavia for quite some time, and the sensors are quite straightforward to use. Take the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for example—it activates automatically as soon as the car starts up, requiring no manual intervention. While driving, it continuously monitors the pressure in each tire. If you see that yellow warning light on the dashboard, it means one of the tires has low pressure, possibly due to a puncture or insufficient inflation. In such cases, I need to find a safe spot to pull over and either inspect the tire or head to a repair shop for inflation. For routine maintenance, I occasionally check the specific tire pressure readings via the infotainment screen to stay informed, but the system mostly operates autonomously. Remember, maintaining proper tire pressure is crucial for safe driving—don’t wait for the warning light to act. The parking radar sensors work similarly, activating automatically when reversing and emitting beeps to alert you of obstacles. Just keep the rear bumper clean. The system is smart enough that as long as you avoid aftermarket modifications that interfere with the signals, it rarely malfunctions.
