How to use the Mazda CX-4 electronic parking brake?

Simply press the brake pedal to bring the vehicle to a complete stop, shift the gear into P (Park), and then press the electronic parking brake button. To release the electronic parking brake, shift into D (Drive) and press the accelerator, or press the brake pedal and press the electronic parking brake release button. Press the auto-hold function button and press the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. This eliminates the need to continuously press the brake pedal or use the parking brake. Simply press the accelerator pedal, and there's no need for frequent shifting between D (Drive) to N (Neutral) or D (Drive) to P (Park) in automatic transmission models.
When I first bought the Mazda CX-4, the electronic parking brake was a real novelty. When parking, I simply found that small button on the center console, gave it a gentle pull, and could hear a light click. A red 'P' indicator would light up on the dashboard, showing it was engaged. To start moving, I'd first sit properly and press the brake pedal, then either press the button again or simply shift to D gear, and it would release automatically. Once, when I parked on a steep slope and didn't press the brake firmly enough, the car almost rolled back. Luckily, the electronic parking brake's assist function reminded me. In daily use, it's much more convenient than the old-fashioned handbrake, especially during traffic jams or at red lights—temporarily stopping requires no effort at all. I recommend that beginners use it a few times to get familiar with it. The manual also reminds users to keep the button area dry and avoid water contact. Simple maintenance is all it needs, so there's no need to worry too much about malfunctions.
