How to use the headlights on a BMW X1: 1. Inside the cabin, you can find the light control lever on the left side of the steering wheel and the left side of the center console; 2. Push the entire light lever upward to turn on the right turn signal, and downward to turn on the left turn signal; 3. Push the light lever forward one position to engage the constant high beam setting; 4. Push the light lever backward one position to engage the single high beam flash setting; 5. The light lever defaults to the low beam position; 6. Rotate the knob to the middle dot position for the parking light setting; 7. Manually adjust the knob to the low beam position to turn on the headlights; 8. The headlight height can be adjusted using the knob below; 9. Turn the knob counterclockwise to control the fog lights—the left symbol is for the front fog lights, and the right symbol is for the rear fog lights.
