The hands-free trunk is equipped with a sensor underneath, allowing the trunk to be opened or closed through motion detection. Simply wave your foot under the sensor to open the trunk. When using the hands-free trunk, please note the following 4 points: 1. Ensure the remote key is carried with you and perform the action: Make sure the remote key is on your person with sufficient battery power, and perform a gentle kicking motion under the sensor on the left side of the rear bumper; 2. Frequent operation will trigger protection mode: If this function is used excessively, it will enter protection mode and will require a cooldown period before it can be used again; 3. Dirt may impair functionality: If the sensor is affected by snow, ice, or dirt, the function may not operate correctly, so keep the sensor clean; 4. Closing the trunk does not lock the vehicle: While this function can close the trunk, it does not lock the vehicle. To lock the vehicle, press the lock button on the key.

I often use the hands-free trunk feature, especially when coming back from shopping with my hands full of bags—it's super convenient! The operation is simple: walk close to the rear of the vehicle with the key on you (usually in your pocket or bag), then gently kick or swipe your foot under the center of the rear bumper. The motion should be natural and quick—no need to kick too hard or for too long. It usually senses within a second or two, and the trunk will open automatically. Remember, the key shouldn’t be too far away; it typically works within about one meter. I’ve noticed it’s less effective on slippery surfaces, so I recommend using it on flat ground. Keep the sensor area clean—don’t let mud or dirt cover it—and occasionally wipe it with a cloth. This feature is incredibly handy in parking lots, saving you the hassle of using your hands.

As a homemaker using the family car, I often rely on the hands-free trunk feature for convenience. The method is: first ensure the key is within sensing range, then stand behind the vehicle and gently sweep your foot under the bumper - the motion should resemble natural walking. It's particularly helpful when carrying grocery boxes or baby supplies, eliminating the struggle of manual opening. However, be cautious not to let children imitate nearby as accidental triggering may occur. Also, if unresponsive, it might indicate low key battery or the vehicle being locked. I regularly clean the sensors to maintain sensitivity, finding this feature greatly enhances safe driving convenience overall.

The key to opening the sensor-activated trunk is position and timing. Approach the rear of the car with your key, extend your foot into the central area underneath the vehicle (near the exhaust pipe), and perform a quick kicking or sweeping motion. Avoid using it on uneven ground, as slow movements may cause it to fail. In rainy conditions, act faster to prevent interference. If it doesn't work, try restarting the vehicle or checking the system settings. Sometimes, maintaining the sensors can restore functionality.
