How to use the gear shift +- of the Envision?

The Envision is equipped with a manual-automatic gear shift. While driving, you can switch to manual mode by pressing +- to manually shift gears up or down. The instructions for using the Envision's gear positions are as follows: 1. P (Parking Gear): When entering this gear, the transmission locking mechanism activates, so it should only be engaged after the vehicle has come to a complete stop. 2. R (Reverse Gear): This gear is used for reversing. It can only be engaged after coming to a complete stop by pressing the brake while reversing; it cannot be engaged while the vehicle is moving. 3. N (Neutral Gear): The transmission is in neutral (idle gear), meaning no power is transmitted to the wheels, and the engine's braking effect cannot be utilized. 4. D (Drive Gear): One of the most commonly used forward gears, where the transmission automatically shifts gears.
When I first bought my Buick Envision, I was also a bit confused by the plus and minus signs on the gear lever.
