How to use the four-wheel drive of the Envision?

The four-wheel drive of the Envision will automatically engage without manual activation. The vehicle's four-wheel drive mode is an on-demand system that activates independently. The Envision includes two models, the 20T and 28T, equipped with an on-demand four-wheel drive system that is divided into two types based on the number and arrangement of locking clutches: single-clutch on-demand four-wheel drive and dual-clutch on-demand four-wheel drive. The Envision is a strategic model launched by General Motors, with body dimensions of 4686mm in length, 1839mm in width, and 1660mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2750mm. The Envision is available with two engine displacements, 1.5T and 2.0T, each offering both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive variants. The 1.5T is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the 2.0T is paired with a 6-speed automatic manual transmission.
I usually drive the Enclave AWD version on mountain roads, and the most frequently used feature is that drive mode selector knob. The knob is located behind the gear shift lever and makes a clicking sound when turned. The default is Comfort mode, which uses front-wheel drive for fuel efficiency; on rainy days I switch to Sport mode, where the AWD automatically engages to prevent slipping; I only use Off-Road mode for actual muddy roads, when power is distributed 50:50 front and rear. To lock the AWD, press the AWD button next to the gear shift, and the instrument panel will display the AWD lock indicator - but don't use this on paved roads as it wastes fuel and damages the drivetrain. Remember to switch modes in advance when driving on snowy roads in winter, don't wait until the tires start slipping to adjust.
