I have been using the Buick Envision for quite some time, and the built-in dash cam is quite user-friendly. Initially, ensure the device is securely mounted on the front windshield, sticking it firmly in a position that doesn’t obstruct the view. Turning it on is straightforward: plug it into the cigarette lighter for power or connect it to a USB port—it starts recording automatically when the car is turned on, indicated by a small red blinking light. During daily driving, you hardly need to manage it, as it records around the clock. If you need to adjust settings like video quality or sensitivity, download mobile apps such as 'OnStar' or the official Buick app, connect to the car’s network, and you can remotely tweak the settings. I’ve set the resolution to 1080P, which is clear enough to capture license plates. Reviewing footage is easy—you can preview and download videos via the app or remove the memory card to view them on a computer. Remember to regularly clear the SD card’s contents and format it about once a month; otherwise, when the card is full, new videos won’t be saved. The parking surveillance feature is even more practical—once enabled, it records upon detecting vibrations, protecting the car from scratches. Overall, it’s quick to get the hang of, and even beginners can handle it effortlessly. It’s advisable to use a good-quality memory card, with at least 32GB for reliable and smooth recording.
