When using the Emgrand's air conditioning, I'm used to this: turning the temperature knob to the left for cold air and to the right for hot air. The small fan symbol is the fan speed button - it's better not to crank it up to maximum at once to avoid loud noise. When defogging, pressing the front defroster button will automatically increase fan speed. For cooling, press to light up the AC button, and using recirculation mode works better; if it feels stuffy, switch to fresh air mode. Avoid blowing directly at your face as it may cause headaches - adjusting the vents upward is more comfortable. Regularly check the cabin filter and replace it if there's a musty smell.
