Remove the brake pedal, pull the electronic parking brake switch upward continuously until the indicator light on the dashboard lights up, and the indicator light on the parking brake switch will also illuminate. If the engine is turned off without activating the electronic parking brake, the vehicle will automatically engage the electronic parking brake.

Having driven the Haval H6 for several years, the electronic parking brake is one of my favorite designs—it's exceptionally user-friendly. After parking, simply locate the button marked with a 'P' on the center console, press it lightly, and when the light turns on, the parking brake is engaged—super simple and effortless. When starting the vehicle, first press the brake pedal, then press the button again to release the parking brake, or sometimes it releases automatically for added convenience. Always ensure the parking brake light is on when parked on a slope to prevent rolling—safety first. I also love how it pairs with the auto-hold function, automatically stopping and resuming in traffic, significantly reducing fatigue. New drivers should practice to build the habit and periodically check the button's responsiveness for maintenance—no need to worry about battery issues.

As a Haval H6 owner, I frequently use the electronic parking brake feature, which operates smoothly and intelligently. After parking, simply press the P button on the console to activate it; when ready to drive, step on the brake pedal and press the button again to release. If the auto-hold function is enabled, it may automatically disengage the parking brake, making it even more convenient. I find this much more user-friendly than traditional lever-style handbrakes, saving effort and time—perfect for city driving. During daily use, ensure your foot firmly presses the brake pedal before operating to avoid accidental movements, especially on slopes where the indicator light requires extra attention. Maintenance is minimal—just occasionally wipe the button to prevent dust buildup. Automotive technology truly enhances the driving experience, making it more enjoyable.

I use the Haval H6 to pick up and drop off my kids at school, and the electronic handbrake is easy to operate without any hassle. After parking, just press the P button next to the steering wheel to engage the handbrake—the light will come on. Before driving off, step on the brake and press the button again to release it, which usually takes just a second or two. Safety is the top priority, so always confirm the light indicates correctly, especially in cold or rainy weather. Once on a slope, I almost forgot, but thankfully the handbrake automatically locked and saved me. Developing good habits and not rushing makes the operation simple and quick to learn, giving my family peace of mind.
