How to Use the Electronic Parking Brake?
1 Answers
Usage of the electronic parking brake: After starting the car, the electronic parking brake light will illuminate, indicating that the brake is currently in the engaged state. At this point, shift the gear to the drive position, and the electronic parking brake will automatically disengage, allowing the car to move forward. When parking, always shift to the neutral (N) position, then pull up the electronic parking brake. Once the parking brake light comes on, release the brake pedal, and the parking brake will be engaged. To disengage, shift to the drive position, and the brake will release automatically, making it very convenient to operate. Shift back to neutral and activate the electronic parking brake again. Without pressing the brake pedal, clicking the release button will have no effect—the red light will remain on. After pressing the brake pedal, clicking the release button will disengage the parking brake. At this point, the brake is controlled via the brake pedal.
