Usage method of the electronic handbrake in an automatic transmission car: Press it downward once to engage the handbrake; lift it upward once to release the electronic handbrake. The electronic handbrake is usually located near the gear lever, marked with a circle containing the letter P. This button is the electronic handbrake button. Essentially, the electronic handbrake functions the same as a conventional handbrake, but it replaces the parking brake handle with a button.
