Long press the power button to turn the dash cam on or off. The dash cam will automatically enter recording mode after being powered on. Press the mode control button to select photo mode, then press the OK button to take a photo. After turning on the dash cam, press the mode control button to enter preview mode.
Last time when I first drove the Mercedes-Benz A200, it took me a few minutes to figure out the dashcam. Step one: start the ignition, find the dashcam app on the central control screen and open it. First-time use will prompt activation—scan the QR code with your phone to download the official app for pairing, then connect to the in-car WiFi and you're done. Next, adjust the resolution and enable loop recording in the settings; I prefer 1080P to save space. Press the button on the left side of the steering wheel twice to manually save emergency footage, just in case you miss capturing something. It records automatically while driving, and parking surveillance stays on after turning off the engine, but remember to disable it to avoid draining the battery. Want to export clips? Select segments in the app to save directly to your phone or plug a USB drive into the center console port—super convenient. When the storage card is full, it prompts to overwrite old recordings. I clear the card monthly to ensure it doesn’t fail in critical moments.
