How to Use the Cruise Control on the Third-Generation Haval H6?
2 Answers
Haval H6 cruise control switch is located in the functional area on the right side of the steering wheel. CRUISE is for turning the cruise control on or off, and SET- is for setting the cruise speed. Press CRUISE to activate the cruise control function, and the dashboard will light up. Increase the vehicle speed to the desired cruising speed. Press the SET- button, and the cruise light on the dashboard will turn green, indicating that the cruise control is set. After releasing the accelerator, the vehicle will maintain the set speed. Press CRUISE to turn off the cruise control, and the cruise light will go out. When the function is not needed, the cruise control should be completely turned off.
When driving my 3rd-gen H6 on the highway, I basically can't do without cruise control – it saves so much leg effort! See that row of buttons on the right side of the steering wheel? First press the cruise button that looks like a speedometer with an arrow, and a white cruise icon will light up on the dashboard. Drive to your desired speed, say 80 km/h, then pull the SET lever downward – the icon turns green when speed is locked. To adjust speed, flip the lever up/down; each click changes speed by 1 km/h. Braking or pressing CANCEL pauses the system, while RES resumes the last set speed. Remember to keep a firm grip on the wheel – the system automatically brakes downhill to maintain speed, but during heavy rain it's safer to control manually, and always maintain proper following distance.
