To use the cruise control in Passat: 1. Activate the cruise control by pressing the marked button, and the corresponding indicator will appear on the instrument panel information window; 2. Press the same button again to deactivate the cruise control, and the indicator on the instrument panel will disappear; 3. Set the cruise speed by pushing the cruise control button SET downward. The Passat is a mid-size sedan designed by Volkswagen in Germany, with body dimensions of 4870mm in length, 1834mm in width, and 1472mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2803mm. In terms of exterior design, the Passat features a slightly enlarged chrome front grille, a streamlined shape extending to the side and rear bumper, and large dual exhaust pipes on both sides of the rear, creating a strong visual impact.

I've been driving this Passat for five or six years, and the cruise control function works very smoothly. The basic steps are: first drive to a safe road like a highway, stabilize the speed above 50 km/h, press the cruise button on the steering wheel to activate the system, then accelerate to the speed you want to set, such as 80 km/h, and press the SET button to fix the speed. The car will then automatically maintain a constant speed. To accelerate, press the plus button; to decelerate, press the minus button. Stepping on the brake will immediately cancel the cruise control, or you can press the cancel button. I find it very convenient—it prevents foot fatigue during long drives and even saves a bit on fuel costs. However, remember not to use it in heavy traffic or rainy weather, as it can be dangerous. It's best to check the owner's manual before operating, as the button positions may vary slightly between different model years of the Passat. My older model has the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel, and beginners may need to practice a bit to get used to it. When driving normally, I usually relax my hands but keep a firm grip on the steering wheel after setting the cruise control—don’t get careless.

When I first got my Passat, I was curious about how to use cruise control, and now I use it frequently. Here's the simple process: Drive onto the highway, stabilize your speed around 60 km/h, press the cruise icon button on the steering wheel to activate the function, then continue accelerating to your desired speed. Press the SET button to lock in the current speed, and the system will take over the throttle. If a car ahead slows down, pressing the brake will deactivate cruise control, or you can temporarily cancel it by pressing the CANCEL button. I find the tricky part is adjusting the speed: tap the plus button to speed up and the minus button to slow down, with each tap changing the speed by 1 km/h, which is quite user-friendly and helps avoid accidentally speeding. Always keep your eyes on the road and avoid distractions like phones—safety first. I’ve tried using it a few times on city roads and almost rear-ended someone, so I recommend enabling it only on open stretches. Once you get familiar with it, long drives become much easier—less leg fatigue and better focus.

What size tires can be fitted on 18-inch rims?

18-inch rims can accommodate tires with a width of 7.5 inches, suitable for 225mm wide tires, and can also handle a maximum width of 235mm. Larger 18-inch rims with a width of up to 9 inches are suitable for 255mm wide tires, with a maximum of 265mm, which can significantly benefit the vehicle's mid-to-high range acceleration and braking performance. There are various ways to represent tire specifications, with four common types in the market: British, German, metric, and American systems. The German system is similar to the metric system, except that the tire width is expressed in millimeters, and the aspect ratio is added. The inner diameter of the tire is still measured in inches, followed by the load index and speed rating.

What are the causes of unstable idling and shaking in cars?

Car unstable idling and shaking are caused by: 1. Dirty, worn, or incorrectly installed mechanical parts, leading to changes in the power of individual cylinders, resulting in an imbalance of power among the cylinders, causing unstable engine idling; 2. Abnormal engine electronic control system, leading to poor combustion of the air-fuel mixture, making it difficult to balance the power of each cylinder, resulting in unstable engine idling; 3. Excessive carbon deposits and dirt on the throttle and surrounding intake passages, changing the cross-sectional area of the air passage, making it impossible for the control unit to precisely control the idle air intake, causing the air-fuel mixture to be too rich or too lean, leading to abnormal combustion.

Does the Honda Haoying still have engine oil dilution issues?

Honda Haoying does not have engine oil dilution issues. The main functions of engine oil are as follows: 1. Lubrication and friction reduction: It forms an oil film on the surfaces of two sliding components, ensuring smooth operation. 2. Auxiliary cooling: It helps dissipate heat from components. 3. Cleaning: It carries carbon deposits, sludge, and worn metal particles back to the oil tank through circulation, flushing away contaminants generated on the working surfaces of parts. 4. Sealing and leakage prevention: Engine oil forms a seal between the piston rings and pistons, reducing gas leakage and preventing external contaminants from entering. 5. Rust and corrosion prevention: Lubricating oil adheres to the surfaces of parts, protecting them from contact with water, air, acidic substances, and harmful gases.

How to Solve the Problem of Unsmoothed Window Lifting?

Solutions for unsmoothed window lifting: 1. Lower the glass to the bottom and spray dashboard wax into the rubber strips on both sides of the glass; 2. Lift and lower the glass several times, and you will notice a reduction in sticking or unsmooth movement (if there is noise, the noise will also decrease); 3. Lower the glass to the bottom again and spray dashboard wax into the rubber strips on both sides of the glass; 4. Repeat step 2 until the car window lifts without sticking, unsmooth movement, or noise; 5. Use a car towel (microfiber cleaning cloth) to wipe off excess dashboard wax from the rubber strip edges of the car window. It is recommended that car owners regularly maintain the rubber components of the vehicle, including door seals, window seals, engine compartment seals, wiper blades, and trunk seals. Spray a specialized rubber protectant on the rubber strips and then wipe it off. This not only forms a protective film on the rubber surface but also improves the rubber's flexibility.
