How to Use the Cruise Control in Lavida?
2 Answers
Lavida's cruise control usage method: Maintain the vehicle speed above 40 km/h, press the cruise control activation button, release the accelerator pedal simultaneously, and then press the SET button to engage. During cruise control operation, you can press the +/- buttons to increase or decrease speed. Pressing the cancel button or applying the brakes will deactivate the cruise control. Lavida is manufactured by Shanghai Volkswagen, with vehicle dimensions of 4600mm in length, 1700mm in width, and 1500mm in height, featuring a 2610mm wheelbase. The front fascia design of Lavida differs significantly from Volkswagen's previous A-segment models, particularly notable for its distinctive teardrop-shaped headlight design.
When driving my Lavida, the cruise control makes long-distance driving much easier. There's an ON/OFF button on the steering wheel—press it first to activate the system. Then accelerate to your desired speed, say 80 km/h, and press the SET button to lock the speed. It's particularly convenient on highways, as you don't need to keep pressing the accelerator. Adjust the speed using the nearby +/- buttons—add a bit uphill and reduce a bit downhill, it's easy. To cancel, just hit the brake or press the CANCEL button, and the system will disengage—the safety design is well thought out. I usually use it on flat roads and less crowded highways, avoiding rainy or snowy conditions. For beginners, I recommend practicing on an open road first to get a feel for the brake response, keeping your foot close to the brake. Also, regularly clean the steering wheel buttons to prevent dust buildup, which could affect sensitivity.
