How to Use the Cruise Control in Geely Vision Sedan?
3 Answers
Geely Vision Sedan's cruise control usage method is: 1. Press the upper-right button to activate cruise control; 2. Press the RES (+) button or SET (-) button to set the desired cruising speed; 3. Press and release the SET (-) button to store the current speed; 4. Press the ON/OFF button to completely deactivate the cruise control system. The Geely Vision is a compact sedan equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, delivering a maximum power of 80 kW and a maximum torque of 142 Nm. It features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension.
When I first drove the Geely Vision, I tried the cruise control and found it very convenient. On the left side of the steering wheel, locate the cruise button and press it to activate the system—it will light up an indicator. Then, drive onto the highway, for example at 80 km/h, and lightly press the SET button to lock the speed. If you want to adjust the speed, simply use the + and - buttons. To cancel, either step on the brake or directly press the cancel button. On long highway drives, this feature saves a lot of fuel and makes driving much more relaxed. However, it’s best not to use it in rainy or snowy conditions, as it can lead to skidding. Always check that the buttons are functioning properly before each use to avoid panic in case of malfunction.
I have used the cruise control function of my Geely Vision for long-distance driving. To activate it, turn on the system switch (the round button on the steering wheel), accelerate to the desired speed, and press SET to lock it in. After that, both hands and feet are freed, and you can adjust the speed using the +/- buttons. It's most suitable for highways, maintaining speed to save fuel and reduce stress. Remember not to use it in congested areas, as the emergency braking response might be slower. During long trips, cruise control helps reduce fatigue, but don’t neglect system maintenance—occasionally check for loose buttons.
