Position the horizon line at the center of the rearview mirror, then adjust the edge of the vehicle body to occupy one-quarter of the mirror's image. Position the horizon line at two-thirds of the rearview mirror, then adjust the edge of the vehicle body to occupy one-quarter of the mirror's image.
I really love the design of the Regal's streaming rearview mirror. When I first got the car, it took me a while to figure it out, but later I found it super easy to operate. Just look at the small buttons right in front of the rearview mirror—the one on the top left is the power button; press and hold it to turn the streaming function on or off. Once the screen lights up, it automatically displays the rear view, which feels much wider than a traditional mirror, and even a fully occupied back seat won’t block the view. From my own experience, it’s best to manually adjust the brightness on rainy days, as water droplets reflecting light can be a bit distracting. When parked, you can also adjust the viewing angle height in the car’s settings, which is especially helpful for petite female drivers. Remember to keep the rear window clean—if the lens gets dirty, the image will blur.
This feature becomes incredibly convenient once you get used to it. By default, the streaming media mode is activated while driving, effectively doubling your field of vision and providing a strong sense of security when changing lanes. The operation is straightforward: there's a row of physical buttons below the mirror housing—just press the one with the power icon to toggle it on or off. If the screen feels too bright at night, simply turn the knob at the bottom left to dim it. A key reminder: the camera is installed near the Buick emblem at the rear of the car, so make sure to ask the car wash attendant to clean that area thoroughly. Once, after driving in the rain, I noticed the image was blurry, and upon checking, I found mud splatters covering the lens. If you're not comfortable with the streaming media mode, you can always switch back to the regular mirror via the car's infotainment system—don't force yourself during the adjustment period.
