How to Use the BMW Chassis Lift Function?

BMW 7 Series' air suspension does not have a switch, and can only be adjusted through the sport mode. There are four sport modes such as "sport" and "normal" on the left side of the gear lever. By adjusting the sport mode, the stiffness of the chassis suspension and the response of the throttle can be adjusted. More details are as follows: 1. Hydraulic adjustable suspension: The BMW 7 Series adopts a hydraulic adjustable suspension. Hydraulic adjustable suspension refers to a suspension method that adjusts the vehicle's ground clearance by increasing or decreasing hydraulic oil based on speed and road conditions to achieve changes in body height. 2. Core of hydraulic adjustable suspension: The built-in electronic hydraulic integrated module is the core of the hydraulic adjustable suspension. Based on data such as vehicle speed, shock absorber extension frequency, and extension degree, longitudinal, lateral acceleration, and yaw rate sensors are installed near the vehicle's center of gravity to collect signals such as body vibration, wheel movement, body height, and tilt status. These signals are transmitted to the vehicle's computer, which then controls the four working cylinders at the front and rear according to the input signals and preset programs.
