Usage method of the auto start-stop button in a car: While driving, simply press the brake pedal directly. The engine will automatically shut off approximately two seconds after the vehicle comes to a complete stop. If you keep pressing the brake pedal, the engine will remain off. Upon releasing the brake or turning the steering wheel, the engine will immediately restart automatically, allowing you to press the accelerator to start moving again. The entire process occurs while the vehicle remains in Drive (D) mode. The auto start-stop indicator is a circle with an 'A' inside and the letters 'OFF' below. Auto start-stop technology is an advanced system designed to automatically control engine shutdown and restart, achieving fuel savings and emission reduction by putting the engine into a brief dormant state. This feature is particularly suitable for urban traffic conditions, such as waiting at traffic lights or during traffic congestion.
After driving for so many years, I deeply appreciate the convenience of the start-stop button. This button with a circled 'A' symbol is located near the steering wheel and is enabled by default after starting the engine. When waiting at a red light, pressing the brake until the vehicle comes to a complete stop will automatically shut off the engine, indicated by a green light on the dashboard.
