Click the cruise icon button on the left side of the steering wheel to activate the cruise function. When the vehicle speed is above 30km/h, press the SET button to record the cruising speed. You can press the + button to increase the speed or the - button to decrease the speed. When the road ahead is not suitable for cruise driving, press the CANCEL button. To exit the cruise mode, press the cruise icon button.
I really enjoy using the 2021 Teana's Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which makes long-distance driving super convenient. First, ensure your speed exceeds 30km/h, then locate and press the ACC button on the left side of the steering wheel to activate the system. Next, use the speed adjustment buttons to set your desired maximum cruising speed—the system will automatically adjust to maintain a safe following distance. When the car ahead slows down, the Teana will decelerate accordingly; if the gap widens, it accelerates back to the preset speed. The following distance can be adjusted to three levels: far, medium, or near—I usually opt for the middle setting, which feels the safest and most stable on highways. Remember, ACC may have limitations during turns, so always keep a firm grip on the wheel and stay alert to road conditions. To cancel, gently press the brake or hit the CANCEL button, while the RES button instantly resumes your preset settings. This ACC system is truly smart and efficient, especially on roads with steady traffic flow, significantly reducing driver fatigue.
