How to Use the 2021 Tiguan L Air Conditioning System?

2021 Tiguan L air conditioning usage instructions are as follows: 1. Defogging: The defogging buttons include front windshield and rear windshield. Press the corresponding button to activate the windshield defogging function. 2. Heating: Rotate the knob to the high-temperature indicator area to deliver warm air. When using heating, please turn off the A/C switch. Because the air conditioning cooling switch only activates the compressor during cooling, while heating is provided by coolant temperature and fiberglass heat. 3. AUTO: Press the AUTO button, and the air conditioning system will automatically maintain stable cabin temperature without manual settings. Whether cooling or heating, or adjusting airflow higher or lower, it intelligently makes timely adjustments. 4. Internal/External Circulation: Internal circulation means closed-loop air circulation inside the cabin, while external circulation exchanges air between inside and outside the vehicle. Use internal circulation in congested areas or poor air quality environments. When using internal circulation for extended periods, it should not exceed one hour before switching to external circulation to prevent air quality from affecting health (except in extremely poor external environments). 5. Temperature Zone Synchronization: With the temperature zone synchronization function, changing the driver's side temperature will synchronize changes in other zones. After disabling this function, each zone can be set individually to meet the needs of passengers in different positions.
After starting the car, I usually press the AUTO button on the center console right away. It automatically adjusts the fan speed and cooling intensity based on the set temperature. If I want to adjust the temperature, I just turn the round temperature knob—both the driver and passenger sides can be set to different temperatures independently. On particularly hot days, I press the MAX AC button to maximize the cooling power for a quick cooldown. In winter, there’s no need to turn on the AC button; setting the temperature to around 20 degrees after the engine warms up feels very comfortable. Adjusting the airflow direction is easy via the touchscreen, and the defogger button is a must-have for rainy days. Regularly replacing the cabin air filter is also important—I change mine every six months to maintain cooling efficiency and prevent odors. The rear vents can also be individually controlled, and my family says it makes riding much more comfortable.
